On February 26-27, 2012, Elena Mashkova and Givi Enukidze, representatives of Awara Group, took part in a special program aimed at presenting Finnish companies to local businesses in Donetsk. The Embassy of Finland in Ukraine organized this cooperation program to open up opportunities to both Finnish and Ukrainian businesses. Numerous presentations of companies took place in a meeting room in Donbass Palace. During this event, the EBA local office also made a presentation on business climate and opportunities in Ukraine.

The Governor of Donetsk oblast, Mr. Andriy Shyshatskiy, and the mayor of Donetsk City, Mr. Alexandr Lukyanchenko, met with the Finnish delegation headed by Ms. A. Makkonen, the Ambassador of Finland in Ukraine. The Governor’s speech focused on the cooperation prospects in the fields of tourism, pharmaceutical and energy industries, as well as investments. The Governor of Donetsk oblast mentioned that he was confident that the cooperation with Finland would benefit the Donetsk Region, Ukraine and Finland in general.
