Nordic Business Days 2012
On March 27, 2012, the Nordic Business Days 2012 took place at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Ukraine. This event was organized by the Nordic Business Network Ukraine (NBNU) with the assistance of Awara Group. Nordic Business Days, which have been held in Ukraine since September 2010, have become an important event for the Nordic business community in Ukraine. These events are organized for companies from Nordic countries operating in Ukraine in order to discuss the current political and economic news, as well as the challenges and opportunities on the Ukrainian market.
This year, Ambassador of Denmark in Ukraine, Mr. Michael Borg-Hansen, the Ambassador of Finland, Ms. Arja Makkonen, and the Ambassador of Norway in Ukraine, Mr. Jon Elvedal Fredriksen, the Ambassador of Sweden in Ukraine, Mr. Stefan Gullgren, and the representatives of international financial institutions and company directors attended this event. After the opening speeches of the Scandinavian ambassadors, the event turned into a discussion on the current business climate in Ukraine: good, bad or precarious. The representatives of foreign as well as domestic companies discussed this question fervently, shared their experience and enquired about certain issues. At the end, a representative of Awara Group representative, Mr. Vladimir Drobac, thanked the NBNU for having given to business and diplomatic circles the opportunity to exchange ideas. Mr. Drobac also stressed the importance of such cooperation and expressed his wishes for its successful development.
A reception with light refreshments and snacks organized by Awara Group made it possible to continue the discussion and make new contacts in an informal setting.
