Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
Lawyers at Hellevig, Klein and Usov have successfully defended the interests of our client, a global company in the field of medical and laboratory equipment, in litigation to protect its rights in intellectual property, namely, trademarks, owned by the company.
Russian Internet domain names were identified that contain elements of trademarks owned by the company. Internet sites of Russian pseudo-representative offices were placed under the disputed domain names, offering to sell equipment manufactured by our client.
The Moscow City Court fully satisfied the demand for termination of infringement in respect of the trademarks owned by the client by cancelling the disputed domain names, guided in part by the provisions on the prohibition of unfair competition of the Paris Convention.
