Changes to State Registration of Companies in Ukraine
From July 01, 2013 onwards, the State Registration Service has been in charge of business registration and closure in Ukraine as prescribed by the amendments introduced to the law On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individuals-Entrepreneurs.
In view of these amendments, the Cabinet of Ministers has decreed to place the relevant subdivisions of the Ukrainian State Register in premises in which local public registers used to be housed. Registering a company or obtaining the documents necessary for companies can therefore be performed at the usual former places with now improved service and fast track review of documents.
It is important to note that, officials of executive committees of the city council at the regional level, or district level for Kyiv and Sevastopol, had been in charge of state registration of companies up until July 01, 2013.
