From September 01, 2015 Companies Could Be Required to Store Personal Data in Russia
On December 17, 2014, the Russian State Duma passed a bill that changes the date of enter into force of the obligation to process Russian citizens personal data using databases located in Russia.
This obligation could come into force already on September 01, 2015 – a year earlier than previously intended – if the bill is approved by the Federation Council and signed by the President[1].
Once approved and signed, this new bill will come into force on the date of its official publication.
