Mandatory Policies for Your Russian Company
Does your company really need to prepare mandatory policies? It’s a common question, especially among international companies establishing their companies in Russia, and the answer is yes, you need them! These policies are made in accordance with Russian law and even though you may have your own corporate policies established in your headquarters, you’ll need to prepare the mandatory Russian ones as well. We recommend getting started right after your company is registered and, of course, we offer this service to our clients!
Why you need them…
The policies cover various topics such as internal working rules, bonus and salary payments, safety and travel expenses. If your company does not have formulated policies regulating these areas, it may face various risks and conflicts with employees resulting from inconsistencies with working conditions. In addition to that, without a travel expense policy, travel expenses may be impossible to justify to the tax inspection and state labor inspection. The absence of these policies can further lead to administrative, criminal, material and civil liability for the company and its employees. Furthermore, if an inspection takes place, and the policies are absent, fines may apply. We highlighted the fine for each mandatory policy in our table below.

Once the policies are prepared…
Once the policies are prepared, they have to be signed by the General Director, and each of the employees will sign a familiarization sheet, confirming that they read and noted the policies. They signed policies together with the familiarization sheet that will then remain in the office and at disposal to possible inspections by authorities. Want to find out more, or have questions?
